Checkbox Tags & Groups

Checkbox tags are clickable fields you add to a document that allow recipients to select one or more options during signing. Each checkbox represents a single selectable option, but multiple checkboxes can be linked together into a checkbox group which can allow you to apply rules (validation) to control how many options can be selected.See Add a Checkbox Tag for setup steps.

How Checkbox Groups Work

When you add multiple checkboxes using the “+” icon, they become part of the same checkbox group. Checkbox groups allow signers to configure validation rules to control how many checkboxes in that group can be /need to be selected. The available validation option are:

  • Select at least: Requires that a specified minimum number of the checkboxes in that group be selected by the recipients before submitting the document.

  • Select at most: Limits the number of checkboxes in a group recipients can select.

  • Select exactly: Recipients must select the exact number of checkboxes specified.

Examples:
If clients are allowed to choose up to two training sessions, select “Select at most” and set the value to 2.
