When adding tags to your documents, you can set various properties to tags to configure tags.
Edit/Access a Tag's Properties
You can edit/access a single tag's properties by simply selecting the tag. The tag's settings panel slides in over the documents page thumbnail guide on the right, showing its settings.
Note: You can also edit the properties for a specific tag or for multiple tags simultaneously. For more information, see Multi-Tag Editing for Faster eSign Prep.
Basic Field Properties
These properties can be configured across most tag types.

Tag Name: Add a label to tags to make them easily identifiable in the documents history/audit trail.

Recipient: Controls which recipient is responsible for that tag. See, Assigning Tags to Specific Signers.

Required: Specify if the tag is required or optional for it's assigned recipient. For more information, see Make a Tag Optional or Requried.

Read-only: Determines if the recipient can modify the tags value. This can be applied to Text, Number, Masked Text, Date, Checkmark, Radio, and Dropdown tags. For more information see Lock a Tag and Make it Read Only.

Saved Conditions: Set up conditional field formulas.
Advanced Field Properties

Font Size: Determines the tags font size. Defaults can be configured by admins in global/team settings. For more information, see Set a tags font size.

Date Formatting: Configure how dates should be formatted for Sign Date tags and Date Tags. For Sign Date Tags you can also chose to include the time.

Data Validation: Apply data validation to enforce data entry rules for the recipient. See:

Group Name: Set a group name for radio buttons and checkbox groups. This is not shown to recipients but is helpful for identifying the group and its options in the documents history and audit trail.

Radio Button Values: Set specific unique values for each radio button in a group in order to collect meaningful data from radio button.
